De-icing Belugas, a sizeable challenge for ONET Airport Services

Onet Airport Services is currently providing Airbus with all its know-how in matters of de-icing.

Already a success in Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, ONET Airport Services is now also about to officiate within Saint-Nazaire airport.

This expertise is being made available to Airbus in the context of the transportation of sections of the aircraft between production sites.

This transfer of material is carried out by outsize cargo freight aircraft called "Beluga", and cannot be subject to delay as this would disrupt the entire production chain.

Any frost on aircraft on the ground may prohibit take-off so Onet Airport Services proposes a complete solution for de-icing, including a highly-trained dedicated team as well as tailor-made equipment (nacelle, high pressure nozzles, boiler).

The teams are on alert to every sort of weather risk and are prepared to intervene in the airport of Saint-Nazaire which adjoins the Airbus plant.
