Sector Newsflash: Training enters the scope of the CNAPS

 

As of 1st July 2016, training organisations will be included in the scope of the National Council of Private Security Activities (CNAPS), thus accelerating the professionalisation of the private security sector

 

#IMPLICATIONS

  • Licenses will have to be renewed every 5 years
  • Private training organizations will be required to inform the CNAPS every time one of its training sessions opens, where the corresponding exam will take place. They will also be required to deliver session reports as well as detailing the type of qualification granted
  • Security staff will be required to follow in-house training (effective 1st July 2017)

  • 2,000 exams every year
  • 41,000 applications to follow a training course every year.
